Akira Fudô, a frail adolescent, has been shielded by his closest friend Ryô Asuka since they were youngsters. When Akira's parents are killed in an accident, the Makimura family takes him in, and Akira falls in love with Miki Makimura. Demons are freed when Ryô's father accidently opens a doorway to hell in Antarctica, and they merge with humanity to live. Akira hosts Aman and transforms into Devilman while maintaining his humanity, whilst Ryô hosts Satan. Reason is replaced by frenzy and terror, and humanity begins scary movies review a fight against the demons, but at the cost of killing themselves.
